Such agreements require, Rycan, as the business associate to safeguard Personal Information

provides its clients and for the proper administration and management of our business. As
business associates, we are also required to notify our clients of instances where Personal

to report “security incidents”; i.e., successful unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or
destruction of Personal Information. Note also that our contract with our clients may also
impose additional restrictions and protections on how Rycan manages and safeguards Personal
Information.
Rycan has established a Security Officer to oversee our compliance with the HIPAA security
rule as well as implement reasonable safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity
and security of Personal Information. To that end, Rycan has conducted a risk assessment of
security, implemented reasonable safeguards, and trained and educated it employees on security.
