Rycan’s Patient Charge Estimate Module. We ensure accurate pricing by reviewing past claims
and EOBs, your contracts with payers, and detailed procedure profiles set up by your facility.
You will have the opportunity to generate estimates in-house and enable your facility’s website
to allow your customers to run their own estimates. Rycan gives your facility the tools it needs
to offer reliable and precise estimates to your patients.
Charge Estimates Profiles: Profiles store information about commonly performed
procedures, helping your staff quickly produce patient charge estimates. Past claims and remits are
selected by the profile to help accurately price estimates. HCPCS, DRG, master payer, claim procedure,
claim diagnosis, and revenue codes specified by users in profiles decide which claims will be used for pricing.
Generate A Charge Estimate: Your staff will be able to easily generate estimates just by entering the
patient’s information and selecting a profile that contains all of the necessary procedure data. Once
an estimate has been run, a summary screen displays patient and insurance information, configuration,
and variance information, as well as a list of the claims that were used to price the estimate. From the
summary screen, a clearly formatted patient charge estimate letter, customized with your facility’s
letterhead and diction, can be printed to give to your patients.
Charge Estimate Archive: All patient charge estimates are stored within our system to allow for
future analysis and review. Users can easily search though the archive to find previously run estimates
and to answer any patient inquiries.
Online Estimates: Rycan enables your website to host our Patient Charge Estimate Module so your customers
can generate their own charge estimates right from your facility’s website. Your facility maintains full
control over which estimates are made available to the public, to ensure your customers only receive the
most accurate and concise information.
Module Intergration: Rycan’s various revenue cycle modules integrate and work together to provide a seamless
workflow for your staff. If your facility subscribes to our Eligibility Verification Module, users can
automatically check for insurance eligibility when generating patient charge estimates. Subscribers to our
Contract Management Module get additional assurance that their estimates are accurate by pricing them against
